    Southern Train on Saturday stated females travelers other than necessary services personnel would be enabled to travel in suburban train services throughout non-peak hours with impact from November23 Southern Railway, in a press release stated, it has actually scaled up the number of rural services in Chennai to 244 trains each day which was 40 percent to the pre-COVID/-19 levels targeted at serving the essential services personnel of both federal government and other organisations.

    Women guests will now be permitted to travel in Chennai Suburban trains throughout non-peak hours from Monday to Saturday and to take a trip throughout the day on Sundays, a news release stated. They will be enabled to take a trip prior to 7 am and after 1030 am till 4.30 pm and after 7.30 pm till 12 am Monday-Saturday.

    They can use their season tickets for taking a trip or on purchase of single journey tickets. Kids upto the age of 12 are likewise allowed to take a trip with them throughout non-peak hours.
