The winter session of the Odisha assembly began on Friday in the middle of rigorous adherence to the COVID-19 standards, and was adjourned for half-a-day after obituary referrals to previous members, and frontline employee who lost their lives battling the pandemic.

Leader of Opposition PK Naik of the BJP, and Congress legislature celebration leader Narasingha Mishra participated in the obituary recommendation and highlighted the contribution of the ex-members and the COVID warriors.
