Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal chairs top-level conference, asks for prompt dispensation of scholarships

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ on Thursday (November 26, 2020) chaired a top-level evaluation meeting on different schemes and programmes of the Education Ministry.

Throughout the conference, the Education Minister directed the University Grants Commission (UGC) to make sure all scholarships and fellowships are disbursed in time and to start a helpline for it.
The high-level review conference was participated in by Secretary, Amit Khare, Secretary Anita Karwal and senior authorities of the Education Ministry.
Pokhriyal also directed that all the grievances of the trainees be redressed instantly. An influential decision was made to start technical education, particularly Engineering courses imparting education in mother tongue will be opened from next scholastic year.
A couple of IIT and NIT are being shortlisted for the exact same, the Education Ministry said in a declaration.
Pokhriyal likewise stated that all the authorities of the Ministry are working to make sure correct execution of National Education Policy, with a goal to accomplish holistic development of trainees and change of the Education System in the nation
During the conference, it was chosen that the National Testing Firm will come out with the curriculum for competitive examinations after evaluation of the existing scenario in various boards.
