” Our ultimate goal is to take part in and win future conflicts with home-made solutions,” Rawat stated.

” Our focus will stay on indigenisation and efforts to gradually support Atmanirbhar Bharat is our objective. We wish to see our Flying force touch the sky with magnificence with aircraft that has significant parts consisting of engines that are Made in India,” Gen Bipin Rawat stated.

The Cabinet Committee on Security chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the biggest indigenous defence procurement offer worth about Rs 48,000 crores to purchase 83 LCA Tejas Mark1A fighter jets.

The offer to be signed in the next few days with HAL would enhance the Indian Flying force’s fleet of homegrown fighter jet ‘LCA-Tejas’ and general battle capability.

” This deal will be a game-changer for self-reliance in the Indian defence production,” Defence Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted to announce the last approval provided to the mega offer.

Singh stated that the native content of the LCA-Tejas was 50 per cent in the MK1A version and it would be boosted to 60 per cent by the end of the program.

The offer would be a significant boost for the IAF and help it to arrest the fall in the number of its fighter airplane squadrons.
