    An Expense modifying the Tamil Nadu Town and Nation Planning Act, 1971, to give result to a decision to relieve the process of preparation of Detailed Advancement Plan (DDP) was passed in the Assembly on Wednesday.

    As per the Bill, the government has decided to dispense with the requirement of specifying the details of ownership of all lands and buildings in the location in the DDP.

    Previously, DMK lawmaker S. Regupathy (Thirumayam) opposed the Expense in the initial stage contending that in the present type the legislation would not help land and property owners know whether the residential or commercial property had been gotten without a consultation procedure.
