Confessing the State’s bad monetary condition, Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa today said a deficit of around50,000 crore may be seen in the current year’s spending plan.
” The State’s monetary condition is not good owing to COVID-19, floods and dry spells. We could not take up and finish any work as we had expected. We are anticipating a deficit of around50,000 crore in this year’s budget. People understand all this and I request them to work together,” he stated reacting to a question on filling the jobs in different government departments in Kalyana Karnataka region.
He was dealing with mediapersons at Ginigera airstrip in Koppal district on Saturday.
Inquired about the pictures revealing a couple of BJP leaders with Yuvraj Swamy, an implicated in a recently discovered fraud case, Mr. Yediyurappa stated that he would not talk about the case as it was under investigation.
” What comment do I make on it? The examination is on. Authorities worried would take suitable action at the appropriate time. Posing for a photograph with someone does not total up to a criminal offense,” he stated.
On Cabinet expansion, the Chief Minister stated that it would be done as and when the Central leaders asked him to do it.
Farming Minister B.C. Patil, Forest Minister Anand Singh, Lok Sabha member from Koppal Karadi Sanganna, legislators Halappa Achar, Paranna Munavalli and Basavaraj Dadesugur and others existed.
