Sony is dealing with a next-generation VR headset for the PS5. The headset won’t release this year, but Sony is revealing early strategies to make it available on the PS5 at some time in the future. Sony’s new VR headset will include an improved field of view, resolution, and even a single cable to make it simpler to utilize.
” We’re taking what we have actually learned because introducing PS VR on PS4 to establish a next-gen VR system that enhances whatever from resolution and field of vision to tracking and input,” states Hideaki Nishino, Sony’s head of PlayStation platform and planning. “It will link to PS5 with a single cable to simplify setup and enhance ease-of-use, while allowing a high-fidelity visual experience.”
Sony is also working on a brand-new VR controller, which will use some of the features found in the DualSense PS5 controller. “There’s still a lot of advancement underway for our new VR system, so it won’t be launching in 2021,” says Nishino.
