Sanjay Raut: They state there is a drug racket. Is it not in politics or any other sector? (File)
Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Tuesday stated that some individuals are “bad-mouthing” the film industry and asserted that it is the obligation of the government to inspect the menace of drug packet.
” Some individuals are bad-mouthing film industry. It’s not only the market but also our culture-tradition that is being defamed. They say there is a drug racket. Is it not in politics or any other sector? It is the responsibility of government and individuals to stop it,” Mr Raut informed ANI.
Without calling BJP MP Ravi Kishan who had on Monday raised the concern of making use of drugs in the film market, Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Jaya Bachchan on Tuesday mentioned that she was “ashamed that yesterday among our members in the Lok Sabha, who is from the film industry, spoke versus it”.
” Even if there are some people, you can not taint the image of the whole industry. I repent that yesterday one of our members in the Lok Sabha, who is from the movie market, spoke versus it. It is a pity,” she said during the zero hour in Rajya Sabha.
She specified that people operating in the entertainment industry are “flogged” by social media.
