Over 18.6 lakh public complaints were gotten throughout the last year and more than 16 lakh of them were redressed, the Lok Sabha was notified on Wednesday. In 2019, an overall of 18,67,758 public grievances were gotten and 16,39,120 were redressed, the minister stated.
The Directorate of Public Grievances (DPG) in the Cabinet Secretariat has a system to captivate representation from a public complainant who states he is not satisfied with the reaction got from the concerned ministry/department within a sensible period of time, he said. However, the typical disposal time of grievance has actually gradually improved over the last six years, Singh said.
