Noida: Almost 600 People Punished for Caste Stickers on Cars

Nearly 600 people with their automobiles bearing caste-identifying sticker labels were released challans throughout Noida and Greater Noida on Saturday, cops stated. The action came throughout a project released on instructions of Gautam Buddh Nagar Authorities Commissioner Alok Singh, they said.
On Saturday, 594 vehicle owners were issued challans for having sticker labels or paints that recognized castes. All such stickers and paints were removed during the campaign held across the district, an authorities representative stated. The district authorities have warned vehicle owners against putting up caste-identifying sticker labels on their vehicles or motorbikes in violation of roadway traffic rules, the authorities stated.
