Makkal Needhi Maiam on Sunday required that the State federal government improve the monetary relief to the families of the two firemens who passed away combating flames at a fabric store in Madurai, to 1 crore each, and offer a federal government job to their kin, on caring premises. Party employees’ wing secretary K.A. Ponnusamy said the relief for the two injured fighters too ought to be increased to25 lakh each.
On the other hand, PMK creator S. Ramadoss urged the State to provide a relief of25 lakh to the households of the three persons who passed away in an LPG cylinder explosion and10 lakh to those injured in the occurrence in Arani, Tiruvannamalai district.
