    Markets in Shimla to Be Closed on Sundays Charge to Covid-19

    In an order issued on Saturday, Shimla district magistrate Apoorv Devgan said that all shops other than those selling vital products consisting of food products, medical shops, restaurants would stay closed on Sundays till more orders.

    In the middle of a spike in COVID-19 cases, the administration has directed all markets in Shimla district to be closed on Sundays. In an order provided on Saturday, Shimla district magistrate Apoorv Devgan stated that all shops other than those offering vital commodities including food items, medical shops, restaurants would remain closed on Sundays till additional orders.

    The action has been taken as a preventive measure due to increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the district, an official stated.
