He had apparently invested lakhs of rupees borrowed from individuals.
A resident of Madakuppam town of V.Kota mandal, 100 km from here, apparently ended his life by tossing himself prior to a running train on borders of Kuppam. He was said to have lost a big amount of money that he had transferred through an online app for great return.
According to sources, the victim, identified as Balachandar (35), reportedly transferred small quantities through the app and got taken advantage of high interest for a specific period.
Lured by this, he had actually started depositing big quantities.
The temptation ultimately led him increasing the deposits to numerous lakhs of rupees, besides convincing some individuals in this neighbourhood to join the app for fast monetary gain. Balachandar had actually apparently taken financial obligations from his near and dear ones and deposited the exact same through the app.
A few days ago, he supposedly understood that the app was a fake as it ended up being defunct. With pressure mounting from his debtors, Balachandar supposedly boarded an RTC bus from V.Kota to Kuppam on Tuesday. After lodging an authorities grievance against the app operators at Kuppam, he reached the outskirts of the town and turned to the extreme step on the train tracks.
The concern came to light on Wednesday.
The authorities are examining the case.
Those suffering from anxiety and self-destructive propensities can look for assistance by calling the helpline number 100.
