India summons Pakistan envoy, lodges strong protest over ceasefire violations
India strongly protested Pakistan’s continued support to cross border terrorist seepage into India, consisting of through supporting cover fire supplied by Pakistan forces.
India on Saturday summoned Charge d’ Affaires of Pakistan High Commission and lodged a strong demonstration over unprovoked ceasefire infractions by Pakistani forces on resulting in the death of four innocent civilians and said it is highly deplorable that Pakistan selected a joyful event in India to disrupt peace and perpetrate violence in Jammu and Kashmir through coordinated shooting along the length of the LoC.
In a statement, the External Affairs Ministry said India condemns, in the greatest terms, the deliberate targeting of innocent civilians by Pakistani forces.
The declaration stated Charge d`Affaires of the High Commission of Pakistan was summoned and a strong demonstration was lodged over unprovoked ceasefire infractions by Pakistani forces, on numerous sectors along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir on November 13, resulting in the death of 4 innocent civilians and severe injuries to 19 others.
” It is highly deplorable that Pakistan selected a festive event in India to interfere with peace and perpetrate violence in J&K through collaborated shooting along the length of the LoC utilizing heavy caliber weapons, including weapons and mortar on Indian civilians,” the declaration stated.
India also highly objected Pakistan’s continued support to cross border terrorist seepage into India, including through supporting cover fire offered by Pakistan forces.
Pakistan was once again reminded of its bilateral dedication to not allow any territory under its control to be used for terrorism against India in any manner, the statement said. Pakistan started unprovoked ceasefire infraction along LoC spread across numerous sectors including Dawar, Keran, Uri and Naugam.
