Replying to an unstarred concern in the Rajya Sabha on India’s present diplomacy towards Pakistan, the Minister stated, “India wishes for regular neighbourly relations with Pakistan however Islamabad needs to create a favorable environment, including by taking reliable, verifiable and irreparable action to not enable any territory under its control to be used for cross-border terrorism against India in any manner.”
Speaking on steps being taken by India to counter Pakistan on terrorism, the Minister said, “As an outcome of Government’s relentless efforts, there is enhanced concern in the worldwide community at terrorism originating from Pakistan, including the continuing activities of worldwide designated terrorist entities and individuals such as Jamaat-ud Dawa (JuD), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammad, Hizbul Mujahideen and so on. Significant partner countries have hired Pakistan to not permit its territory to be used for terrorism in ally way.”
He even more said that India’s call to condemn terrorism in all kinds was accepted by the worldwide community and it appeared in the files provided after the bilateral Top conferences with different nations.
