He must not continue in his post: VCK head
Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) president Thol. Thirumavalavan on Friday stated the State government ought to take steps to eliminate Anna University Vice-Chancellor M.K. Surappa from his post.
In a statement, Mr. Thirumavalavan stated it would be incorrect for him to continue after the State federal government had actually started a questions into allegations against him.
” The State federal government has stated that Justice Kalaiarasan will probe into irregularities, such as whether the choices taken by him as V-C were legal according to the Anna University Act of 1978, and if the short-term visits made by him were legal and whether the funds or fee received by the university were utilized correctly,” he stated.
He said Prof. Surappa must not continue in his post as investigations might be jeopardised.
