Judge calls for a report by August 17
The Madras High Court has warned private schools against forcing moms and dads to pay entire fees in gross violation of its July 17 interim order to gather only 40% of the charges for the present, in view of the lockdown to fight COVID-19
He directed the School Education Department authorities to perform inquiries right away and initiate suitable action versus schools that were gathering charges in infraction of court orders.
‘ Initiate contempt’
If the court finds any offense after browsing the report, it would not be reluctant to initiate contempt of court procedures against the school management, the judge warned.
