Previous Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi’s health condition deteriorated with multi-organ failure and he has become unconscious with trouble in breathing, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated.
The 86- year old veteran Congress political leader, who was on Non Invasive Ventilation (NIV) considering that he was confessed at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on November 2 due to post-COVID complications, was put under invasive ventilation, the minister stated.

On October 25, the three-time former chief minister, who was going through treatment for COVID-19 and other post-recovery complications, was discharged from the GMCH after spending exactly 2 months there.
