    New Delhi, Sep 13: Previous Jawaharlal Nehru University student leader Umar Khalid was arrested late on Sunday night under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act( UAPA) for his supposed role in the northeast Delhi riots, sources said.He was arrested by the unique cell of the Delhi cops after 11 hours of interrogation.

    Khalid was questioned by the Delhi Authorities Criminal Offense Branch for a couple of hours on September 2 in connection with the riots.He was earlier reserved under the rigid Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in another case related to the riots.
