    Election Commission releases draft electoral rolls for Tamil Nadu; women voters surpass guys

    The Election Commission of India on Monday launched the draft electoral rolls for Tamil Nadu, which is headed for Assembly polls in2021

    According to the data discussed in the draft electoral rolls for Tamil Nadu, there are about 6.10 crore citizens in overall out of which 3.09 crore are females, 3.01 crore guys and 6,385 transgenders.

    In terms of new electors or novice citizens, there are a total of 2.08 lakh citizens, which consists of 1.06 lakh women, 1.01 lakh males and 132 transgenders.

    Likewise, the variety of citizens above the age of 80 are 13.75 lakh.
