The Union federal government has extended the period of ED Director Sanjay Kumar Mishra by a year after modifying his consultation order that was issued in 2018, authorities stated. Mishra, 60, is a 1984- batch Indian Profits Service officer of the Earnings Tax cadre and was selected the Enforcement Directorate chief on November 19, 2018.
His period was to end next week as the ED director’s post includes a set regard to 2 years. According to an order released by the Department of Revenue under the Union financing ministry on Friday, the 2018 order for consultation of Mishra has actually been modified.
” The President of India is pleased to authorize the modification in the earlier order dated November 19, 2018, appointing Shri Sanjay Kumar Mishra as director of enforcement in the Enforcement Directorate,” it said.
