    Amid a surge in coronavirus cases in the national capital, a door-to-door study for identifying and evaluating people symptomatic for COVID-19 in containment and densely jam-packed areas of the city commenced on Friday. The study will be completed within 5 days and will cover over 57 lakh individuals in containment zones, dense locations and recognized clusters of virus transmission, officials said.

    Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain informed press reporters that the study is targeted at recognizing and evaluating symptomatic individuals living in containment zones and largely packed locations. District officials said all the containment zones and very spreader locations are being covered through teams consisting of instructors, municipal corporation staff, Asha employees and civil defence volunteers.

    ” All procedures will be followed to evaluate all symptomatic individuals. The study will be finished within 5 days,” said a district magistrate. There are currently over 4500 containment zones in Delhi. Following a conference between Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, it was decided that the study in the city will be performed by teams of AIIMS, Delhi federal government and community corporations, and all the symptomatic individuals discovered in the survey would be tested and supplied essential treatment.

    Around 9500 surveillance groups have actually been made up and released for carrying out a door-to-door survey. Each group has a target to study 50 homes every day, authorities included.
