Delhi Metro resumes services; trains from NCR suspended till more notice

Delhi Metro services from neighbouring cities to the national capital will remain suspended in view of the ‘Delhi Chalo’ farmers’ protest versus the Centre’s new farm laws, authorities said on Thursday.
Nevertheless, metro services will be readily available from Delhi towards the NCR areas, they stated.
Taking to Twitter, the DMRC stated, “From 2 pm onwards City services are readily available from Delhi towards the NCR areas. Nevertheless, services from NCR areas to Delhi still continue to remain suspended due to security reasons till additional notice.”

As advised by Delhi Cops, City services will be readily available only from Delhi towards the NCR areas. Nevertheless, services from the NCR stations towards Delhi will not be available due to security reasons till additional notification.

The DMRC had limited Delhi City services to and from the National Capital Area (NCR) on Thursday till 2 pm in view of the November 26-28 farmers’ rally.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, in a tweet previously on Wednesday, had stated that it was being done due to the farmers’ march at the demand of the authorities to prevent overcrowding.
Delhi Police personnel have been deployed in great deals in the border areas of the national capital and all inbound lorries were being inspected in view of the demonstration.
