    The PMK on Saturday customized its need from ‘separate 20% reservation for Vanniyars’ to ‘internal appointments for Vanniyars’ within the MBC quota in tasks and education.

    The party leadership provided a final notice to Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami to accept the demand and take steps prior to the beginning of the Assembly session this year failing which the celebration would take a ‘political choice’.

    At the end of its governing council conference held practically, the PMK issued a declaration declaring that senior Ministers would be visiting PMK creator Ramadoss’ home to go over the problem on Monday.

Though the booking for MBCs was won by the Vanniyar Sangam, we think that other castes in the MBCs should likewise be offered representation in MBCs. Therefore, we have actually chosen to customize our need and look for ‘internal quota’ which will offer significant representation for the Vanniyars within MBC quota,” the statement said.

Karunanidhi’s function in 1989, the celebration’s council unanimously passed a resolution advising the AIADMK government to instantly consent to the demand of internal reservation. Otherwise, the party would be forced to call for a meeting of its executive council and take a ‘political decision.’

    On Friday, PMK president G.K. Mani satisfied Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam and held talks. As a follow up to that, a group of senior Ministers would hold talks with Dr. S. Ramadoss at Thailapuram on Monday, the declaration said.
