Starting Friday, mobile customers will no longer hear Bollywood super star Amitabh Bachchan’s baritone as a caller tune. The caller tune lists precautionary procedures to avoid capturing the coronavirus. According to sources in the health ministry, a female voice will be used for letting individuals learn about the COVID-19 vaccination drive. Recently, a petition was submitted in the Delhi High Court relating to Bachchan’s voice in the caller tune. The petitioner argued that the voice of Amitabh Bachchan should be eliminated from the caller tune since he and his household members were among the ones who were infected with COVID-19
The petition was submitted by Rakesh, a social worker living in Delhi. Rakesh specified that the government was attempting to make people aware through this coronavirus caller tune in the voice of Amitabh Bachchan, while the super star and his relative could not secure themselves from contracting the illness.
The petitioner’s attorneys argued prior to the bench that the government of India is paying charges to Amitabh Bachchan for including in a caller tune concerning COVID-19 Nevertheless, the legal representatives discussed that there are many coronavirus warriors who are all set to do this work for free.
To drive house the point, the lawyers even more mentioned that Amitabh Bachchan is not serving the country like a social employee, then why he has been given this duty.
