Bengal Minister Nirmal Maji Tests Favorable for Covid-19, Hospitalised

Kolkata: West Bengal minister Nirmal Maji tested favorable for COVID-19 and was confessed to a state-run medical facility here, a health department authorities stated on Sunday. Maji, who is the minister of state for labour, was taken to the Kolkata Medical College and Medical facility on Saturday night after he was detected with the infection, he stated.
The 59- year-old MLA from Uluberia North constituency has moderate fever and breathing issue, he stated. “He (Maji) is all right. We are monitoring him very closely. His comorbidities remained a matter of issue,” the authorities stated.
Maji had suffered a brain stroke in September and was hospitalised for a couple of days, sources stated. A number of state ministers had earlier evaluated positive for coronavirus and recovered from the disease.
