    BJP State president Somu Veerraju on Friday appealed the Andhra Pradesh federal government to enable devotees to take dips in river Tungabhadra during the Tungabhadra Pushkaram which started on Friday.

    Talking to newsmen here, Mr. Veerraju regreted that there was no function of costs200 crore on developing the pushkaram ghats if the enthusiasts would not have the center to take the holy dip in the river straight.

    ” The BJP has already sent a memorandum to the State federal government, interesting analyze the possibilities to provide the river water through the pipelines, enabling the devotees to take the bath with it throughout the Puskaram,” stated Mr. Veerraju.

    On the continuous tussle between the State federal government and State Election Commission (SEC) on the schedule of the local body elections, Mr. Veerraju demanded that the SEC must issue the fresh election notification by ditching the unanimous seats which were won by the YSRCP during the last nomination exercise across the State.
