6 Children Among 14 Eliminated In Roadway Accident In UP’s Pratapgarh
Fourteen individuals, consisting of six children, died in a tragic roadway mishap in Uttar Pradesh’s Pratapgarh after their car rammed a truck on the highway late on Thursday.
All the residents of the SUV died in the crash and a variety of individuals have been injured. The mishap occurred around 11.45 pm on Thursday on the Prayagraj-Lucknow highway near Deshraj Inara village.
Visuals from the accident shows a crumpled Mahindra Bolero being pulled out from the back of the truck.
Pratapgarh Superintendent of Authorities (SP) Anurag Arya said the truck had been parked at the side of the highway due to a punctured tyre when the SUV rammed it from behind. Half of the vehicle was taken out in a mangled state from under the truck later on by cops officials, he said.
All victims were returning home to their village in Gonda after attending a wedding, the cops official stated, adding that all assistance has actually been ensured to the families of the victims.
5 bodies were recovered not long after the crash whereas the rest of the bodies were pulled out after the automobile was recovered from under the truck. The kids who died in the crash were all aged in between 7 and 15, the authorities said. The 8 other victims were all males aged in between 20 and 60.
The bodies will be sent out for an autopsy today.
