55- year-old Judge Found Hanging at Authorities House in Chhattisgarh, Suicide Suspected
In a suspected suicide case, a 55- year-old lady district judge was found hanging at her main residence in Chhattisgarh’s Mungeli district on Sunday, police said. Mungeli District and Sessions Judge Kanta Martin was found hanging from the ceiling fan with a saree inside a space at her main home in Karhi area here this early morning, Mungeli Superintendent of Police Arvind Kujur said.
According to the initial info, after having food early in the night on Saturday, the judge asked her cook and other staff to leave your house, he stated. “When the cook returned on Sunday early morning, he found the door of her residence locked from within. He saw from the window that the judge was hanging from the ceiling fan, following which, he informed the cops,” Kujur stated.
A police team broke the door open and the body was later sent for post-mortem, he said. “No suicide note was recovered from the spot,” he added.
According to the judge’s staff members, she was apparently under anxiety following the death of her spouse last year. She has 2 kids. While one of them resides in Delhi, another one lives in Raipur, the SP said.
An examination is underway to establish the precise cause behind her severe step, he added.
